Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer to the One Direction band. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. There together with his three classmates, he founded his own band, White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. In spite of always having always shown interest in music he also wanted to be the next lawyer or the profession of physiotherapist. While working at the city's baker Harry Styles managed to feed his family. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) during the auditions in 2010 to The X Factor. This was the reason the band split up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a brand new group, One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. The group performed the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the contest. This allowed them to become the leading contenders to win the contest. However, they came in third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive an award, but Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds for One Direction in order for them to join Syco Records.
